The school year consists of two semesters. Each yearlong academic course carries two units of credit; each semester course carries one credit. Our academic program reflects the academic standards outlined by the New York State Regents as well as allowing our excelling students the opportunity to take Pace University courses that not only earn them a college transcript but also high school academic credit. The school day is comprised of eight periods of 45 minutes. Most students take advantage of our diverse extracurricular activities; examples include technology, yearbook, soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, Writing Club, National Honor Society, Anime Club, Science Club, Gay Straight Alliance, Student Government Organization, intramural sports, PSAL basketball, PSAL track, and PSAL softball.
